Join to apply for the Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver role at Daikin Comfort.

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for off-loading, putting-away, picking, and staging of equipment and parts while providing professional quality customer service to all internal and external customers. The warehouse associate is accountable for the movement of all materials within the warehouse and overall appearance while ensuring safety protocols are met.

Position Responsibilities include:

1. Safely and efficiently operate forklift and other warehouse equipment to load/unload/transfer material and products without causing damage within the warehouse and to/from delivery trucks.
2. Ensure all items are received according to procedures and stocked in assigned locations.
3. Maintain inventory and prepare cycle counts.
4. Complete Will Calls.
5. Ensure timely and accurate completion of paperwork and transaction entries.
6. Always wear proper PPE and uniform during each shift.
7. Maintain warehouse and forklift by following good housekeeping and safety procedures, including pre- and post-shift forklift inspections. Report concerns immediately.
8. Assist customers and CSRs as needed.
9. Follow standard operating procedures, established work processes, and company policies.
10. Perform additional tasks as required.

Nature & Scope

Knowledge & Skills

1. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

3. Basic computer skills, including data entry, to process transactions and generate reports and orders.
4. Ability to load and unload products successfully.
5. Ability to operate a forklift safely and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
6. Ability to pass Prove It and driving tests.
7. Must be eligible to obtain forklift certification in-house within 30 days.
8. Ability to understand and follow work instructions, policies, and procedures.
9. Dependability, teamwork, and positive relationship skills.
10. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.

Experience

1. At least 1 year of industrial forklift experience preferred.
2. At least 1 year of warehouse experience.

Education/Certification

1. High School diploma or GED.
2. Valid driver’s license required.
