Job summary

Guitar Center Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate / Backup Driver to support daily warehouse operations, accurately receiving, organizing, staging, and shipping merchandise.

This role also serves as a backup driver when needed, requiring careful attention to detail and safe work practices in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include pulling orders, processing inventory, QA of rental items, packing and labeling for shipment, and occasional vehicle operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Ability and willingness to operate company vehicles, including cargo vans and box trucks, as needed.
• Six months previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or inventory experience preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and warehouse scanning systems preferred.
• Ability to navigate warehouse locations, locate products accurately, and use RF scanning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must be available to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Locate, pull and transfer products for daily sales orders, ensuring accuracy between physical inventory and order documentation.
• Receive, process, organize, and sort serialized and non-serialized products according to company standards.
• Assist with quality control, inspection, and maintenance of rental inventory and equipment.
• Prepare, pack, and label merchandise for shipment following company procedures and safety guidelines.
• Load and unload products safely, with or without the use of carts, pallet jacks, or other approved equipment.
• Move and organize product within the warehouse to support storage, staging, inventory accuracy, and shipment needs.
• Serve as a backup delivery driver by operating company vehicles to transport products between locations as needed.
• Conduct basic vehicle safety inspections and comply with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and work environment.
• Support warehouse leadership and team members with additional duties as assigned.
