Join Airgas as a Warehouse Associate/Backup CDL Driver, working under the guidance of the Branch Manager. In this role, you'll handle essential warehouse duties, including shipping, receiving, cylinder handling, stocking, and occasional counter sales while ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and Airgas policies. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining safety standards and supporting our customers.

Warehouse / Handler Operations

1. Stock, label, pick, pack, and distribute materials and supplies.
2. Physically receive, check, and store delivered materials in the warehouse; conduct regular inventory checks.
3. Enforce policies for proper receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, reviewing invoices.
4. Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
5. Strictly observe safety rules and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Backup Driver Responsibilities

1. Deliver compressed gas cylinders and liquid cylinders on a scheduled route to customers.
2. Load and unload trucks, retrieve empty cylinders, and return them for refilling.
3. Maintain accurate vehicle documentation and a professional appearance.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Organize and control inventoried items.
2. Operate forklift and other equipment as required.
3. Assist with inventory management, housekeeping, showroom displays, and demonstrations.
4. Perform back-up duties as per the branch daily checklist.
5. Assist customers with merchandise, load/unload cylinders as needed.

Are you a MATCH?

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred
• Must have a valid US Driver's License.
• Required: Class B or higher Commercial Drivers' License with HAZMAT endorsement, clean MVR.
• Physically capable of lifting 25-75 lbs. routinely and up to >100 lbs. occasionally. Able to handle liquid containers up to 1000 lbs.
• Regular bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, and repetitive motion.
• Comfortable with occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and fine motor tasks such as tightening ratchet binders.
• Able to drive hazardous cargo up to 8 hours, work overtime if needed.
• Preferred: 2 years' warehouse operations or maintenance experience.
• Preferred: Background in gas, welding, safety supply, or chemical industries.
• Previous forklift operation experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Capable of troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing technical equipment.
