Job summary

Viking Electric in Kenosha, WI is seeking a Warehouse Associate Backup Non-CDL Delivery Driver. Local box truck deliveries, daily pre-trip inspections, loading and unloading, and return home each night.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Able to lift up to 85 pounds.

• 1 year of related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Associate Backup Non-CDL Delivery Driver

Job type: Full Time

Vehicle Type: Box truck/straight truck

Hourly pay: $21.00/hr - $26.00/hr (Pay for experience)

Distance: Local deliveries - return home each night

As a Non CDL Delivery Driver, you play a vital role in delivering essential electrical products from our warehouse to our valued customers. Each day begins with a thorough pre-trip inspection of your delivery vehicle, followed by loading materials and packages to prepare for the day ahead. You will make local deliveries to other Viking Electric locations and assist with unloading. When the route is complete, you will assist throughout the Warehouse where needed.

You will…

• Conduct vehicle inspections at the start and end of your route
• Transport and deliver products with care
• Unload items such as wire, pipe, conduit, and boxes during deliveries
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor with customers

What You Bring

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Be at least 21 years old
• Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles
• Ability to lift packages that could weigh up to 85 pounds
• Ability to pass and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
• Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers)
• Basic English communication skills
• Willingness to learn how to operate equipment (we provide training)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future
• 1 year of related experience and/or training
