Job summary

Viking Electric in New Berlin, Wisconsin is seeking a Warehouse Associate Backup Bin Stock Driver. You will drive a Viking Electric van to customer sites and also perform warehouse duties including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping material.

You will be the face of the company on deliveries, perform vehicle inspections, and ensure safety procedures are followed at all times. Training is provided, and the role includes full-time hours with local routes.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Able to lift packages up to 85 pounds.
• Able to pass DOT physical.
• Basic math skills required.
• Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive Viking Electric vehicle and replenish stock at customer sites or in warehouse.
• Receive, store, pick, check and ship material accurately.
• Be the face and voice of Viking Electric during deliveries to customer sites.
• Conduct vehicle inspections at route start and end.
• Transport and deliver products with care to customers.
• Unload, count, and stock products at customer locations.

Warehouse Associate Backup Bin Stock Driver

• Location: New Berlin, Wisconsin
• Job type: Full time
• License: Regular driver's license
• Vehicle Type: Van
• Schedule: 6:00am start time Monday-Friday
• Hourly pay: $22.00/hr - $25.00/hr (Pay for experience)
• Distance: Local deliveries - return home each night

What You’ll Do

As a bin stocker, you will be responsible for driving a Viking Electric vehicle and replenishing specific stock at customer facilites in a manufacturing environment or at customer job sites. You will also be responsible for working in the warehouse performing physical and clerical duties involved in accurately receiving, storing, picking, checking, and shipping material.

• Be the face, voice, and reputation of our company while delivery products to customer job sites, shops, and businesses
• Conduct vehicle inspections at the start and end of your route
• Transport and deliver products to customers with care
• Unload product at customer site and place product in designated work cell or bin locations
• Take inventory at customer site, create orders to replensih to customer min/max requirements
• Communicate with sales assoiate through problem solving to meet customer needs
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
• Pick and pack orders to replace stock as required by customer. Count, check, prepare, and record items being received or shippped.
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for safe delivery or storage.

Requirements

What You Bring

• Valid driver’s license
• Be at least 21 years old
• Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles
• Ability to lift packages that could weigh up to 85 pounds
• Ability to pass and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
• Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers)
• Basic English communication skills
• Willingness to learn how to operate equipment (we provide training)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future
• 1 year of related experience and/or training

Preferred, But Not Required

• 2 years electrical background, including warehousing, and/or electrical consturction
