Job Description

Summit’s warehouse associates play a pivotal role in fulfilling our customers’ needs for materials and services by receiving new materials from our vendors, picking customer orders for will call or delivery, and participating in cycle counting and other inventory management practices. This role is Summit’s entry-level branch position and an excellent opportunity to be introduced to the business, learn skills, product knowledge, and industry best practices that prepare the associate for future opportunities at Summit.

What you will do:

1. Pull customer tickets to fulfill orders.
2. Prepare orders for shipment to customers.
3. Load and unload Summit trucks.
4. Receive and stock products daily to replenish inventory.
5. Understand products, their capabilities, and warranties.
6. Assist sales associates in fulfilling customer orders when necessary.
7. Ensure warehouse and outside areas are neat and clean at all times.
8. Maintain safe practices and proactively uphold Summit’s commitment to a safe workplace.
9. High school diploma or equivalent.
10. Strong time management skills to organize and manage multiple priorities.
11. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
12. Flexibility to adapt effectively to change.

Beneficial Skills and Experience

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Aptitude for learning.
