Job description

The Warehouse Associate - ARS is responsible for daily processes and shipping and receiving orders as assigned by the Manager or Lead and is a key participant in maintaining an accurate product inventory.

1. Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and / or shipped.

2. Accurately gather product according to customer order by using forklift, lifting, or rolling.

3. Pack customer orders according to type (Domestic, International, OEM / Private Label).

4. Processes shipping documents in computer system.

5. Move material from warehouse to shipping dock.

6. Complete inbound products inspection, reconciliation of receiving / purchase documentation.

7. Attention to detail in verifying paperwork, product information and counts is correct.

8. Storage organization of inventory.

9. Assist in counting of physical inventory at year end.

10. Sweep, dust, and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

11. Participates actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs, and training sessions.

12. Ability to work a schedule of (5) full 8-hour workdays per week.

13. Report to workstation on time at start up, and after breaks and lunches.

14. Report all safety violations to Manager in a timely manner.

15. Support Shipping and Receiving warehouses as needed.

16. Additional duties as required.

Hours : Monday thru Friday, 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Previous Experience :

  • Experience in distribution or warehousing
  • Small package warehouse.

Skills and Competencies :

  • Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements :

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb or balance, crouch or crawl
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically
  • Ability to roll full 55-gallon drums of product occasionally
  • Specific visual abilities required include, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
