Job description

We are looking for candidates to perform an array of functions that include shipping/receiving, loading/unloading; processing incoming product and materials; picking and filling orders from stock; packing and shipping orders; managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse; and maintaining accurate inventory.

Responsibilities:

  • Individuals in this position must follow all Food Safety policies and procedures provided by FSMS as it pertains to the Warehouse Forklift position.
  • Adhere to all cGMP and safety requirements.
  • Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, or other transport vehicles.
  • Load all outbound shipments – TL, LTL, Tankers, and Containers.
  • Load inbound shipments - receiving: products, materials, parts, tankers, containers, LTL, UPS, FedEx, DHL.
  • Inspect product load for accuracy and ensure product is not damaged.
  • Follow all dock loading and receiving procedures.
  • Scan all product movement inbound and outbound from the facility.
  • Verify all sales orders are prepared correctly, including product, documents, labels, and customer shipping requirements – DOUBLE CHECK.
  • Complete all requested production allocations by date needed.
  • Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labels.
  • Sort, pack, wrap, tie, and label products as per company procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized warehouse following daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
  • Follow all warehouse, safety, and DOT regulatory rules and regulations regarding all shipments.
  • Maintain forklift equipment by troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, recommending repairs, and performing routine pre and post inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills:

  • Ability to drive a forklift - Forklift Certification a plus.
  • Ability to use a scan gun.
  • Attention to detail – critical.
  • Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
  • Time Management - Managing one's own time with ability to multi-task.
  • Computer literate: MS Office, warehouse ERP, printers, scanners, Excel.
  • Required Training: Completion of all training modules as defined in the HR Database.

Experience and Education:

High School Diploma (or GED).

Minimum 1 year shipping/receiving, production/manufacturing experience desired. Forklift certified a plus.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

This position requires some exposure to outside weather conditions along with a wide range of temperatures and humid conditions associated with working in a warehouse and on a loading dock; handling of certain hazardous chemicals; use of PPE as required; standing 50% of the day; ability to reach overhead, grasp, push/pull, climb stairs/ladder; and lifting of 40 lbs.
