Job Description

The Warehouse Associate and Forklift Operator is responsible for processing incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and timely. This includes verifying materials, preparing documentation, managing inventory, and operating warehouse equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure materials are received, inspected, and stored correctly.
2. Verify materials against invoices and purchase orders; contact vendors to resolve discrepancies.
3. Perform inventory counts and collaborate to correct discrepancies.
4. Pick and prepare parts for sales orders.
5. Prepare shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments using various shippers.
6. Operate material-moving equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.
7. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipping logistics.
8. Work with vendors, expediters, engineers, and shipping companies for timely deliveries.
9. Load and unload materials from trucks.
10. Experience with domestic and U.S. Customs international shipping is preferred.
11. Familiarity with shipping software such as UPS Worldship and FedEx Ship Manager is a plus.
12. Conduct inventory and cycle counts quarterly and annually.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations.
• Basic computer skills for inventory updates and shipping documentation.
• Forklift certification and experience with pallet jacks.
• Ability to repair wooden crates using woodworking tools.
• Knowledge of international shipping procedures and documentation is advantageous.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
