Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Shipping and Receiving: unload/load trailers, verify proper stacking, and ensure freight is not mixed. Palletize and secure products appropriately.
  • Checking: count products, compare with manifests, inspect for damage, infestation, and expiry dates. Report discrepancies.
  • Over, Short, and Damage: identify and report damages, shortages, and overages.
  • Inventory: assist with physical counts and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Order Picking: locate and prepare products for shipment accurately and efficiently.
  • Loading: move products into railcars or trailers.
  • Equipment Operation: operate forklifts and other machinery safely, perform daily inspections, and report issues.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Experience with high reach forklifts or warehouse operations preferred
Skills and Abilities
  • Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs with assistance
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Handle objects and operate warehouse equipment
  • Work in temperature ranges from +50 to -30°F
  • Excellent communication, arithmetic, and reading skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Availability for overtime and driving a registered vehicle as needed
