Job summary

TransChicago Truck Group is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Elmhurst, IL. This role focuses on warehousing activities, inventory control, and accurate recordkeeping.

The position runs Monday through Friday from 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM, with responsibilities including receiving, storing, and organizing stock, processing orders, and coordinating with drivers. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of warehousing experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One plus year of warehousing or related industry experience required.
• Background check, drug screen, and physical examination will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Check in all daily incoming shipments from vendors and label stock with barcodes.
• Put away all incoming stock in correct bin locations and ensure proper labeling.
• Receive and check in inter-branch shipments and update packing slips.
• Generate picking lists and reports for stock and orders as needed.
• Pull customer orders from the picking list and prepare for will call, packing, or delivery.
• Maintain all stock in will-call and ensure paperwork is filed with the parts.
• Dispatch parts drivers to addresses on sales invoices or purchase orders.
• Process and track returns from stock and manage related paperwork.
• File freight claims for shortages or damaged parts.

Education

We're looking for a Warehouse Associate who will be responsible for performing warehousing activities, inventory control, and recordkeeping. This person will work Mon-Fri 11:30pm-8:00am.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Check in all daily incoming shipments for all vendors.
• Put away all incoming stock in the appropriate bin location and ensure that all parts put into stock are properly labeled with a barcode bin label.
• Check in all incoming inter-branch shipments from all branches.
• Update incoming stock and incoming inter-branch shipment packing slips in computer and generate appropriate picking lists and reports as needed.
• Pull all customer orders as indicated on the picking list and place in either will call, package for shipment, or dispatch for delivery.
• Maintain all parts in “will call” by ensuring that all parts pulled are placed in the appropriate “will call” bin and all paperwork associated with the order is placed with the parts.
• Maintain all junk core inventory.
• Dispatch parts drivers to addresses indicated on the sales invoice or purchase order.
• Process and maintain all returns by properly pulling all parts being returned from stock.
• File freight claims for any shortages or damaged parts received.

Education and/or Required Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One plus year’s industry experience.

Additional Requirements

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
• Pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation:$21.06/hr plus a $.50/hr shift premium for working on the 2nd shift.
