Job summary

Viking Electric in Minneapolis, MN is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler to ensure efficient warehouse operations and accurate order fulfillment. This full-time role runs 1pm–9pm, Sunday to Thursday, with overtime as needed. Base hourly pay ranges from $22.50 to $26.00, plus a benefits package and potential short-term incentives.

You will load/unload trucks, count and scan inventory, and prepare products for delivery using forklifts and pallet jacks. Training is provided for equipment use.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs regularly, or up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to stand and walk for much of the shift.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract).
• Willingness to learn forklift operation (training provided).
• Authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future.

Warehouse Material Handler

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Job type: Full time

Schedule: 1pm to 9pm, Sunday - Thursday (Overtime as needed)

Hourly pay: $22.50-$26.00/hr (pay increases in range based on experience brought to role)

What You’ll Do

As a warehouse associate, you’re key to driving a great customer experience by getting products from our warehouse to our customers. As orders come in, you help fill them accurately by finding the right products and getting them packaged and onto our trucks. You’ll work in a positive, fast-paced environment with a supportive team.

You will…

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/material in a safe manner using a forklift, pallet jack, handcart, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts, or other device (no experience required - we provide training)
• Count, check and record items coming into or being shipped out of the warehouse
• Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and labels, allowing us to track appropriate inventory levels
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for safe delivery or storage
• Help us keep products free from damage and organized
• Follow and promote procedures that keep the warehouse safe and secure

Requirements

What You Bring

• Be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly, or up to 75 lbs. with the assistance of supportive equipment or team members
• Ability to stand and walk for much of your shift
• Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers)
• Willingness to learn how to operate equipment like a forklift and handheld scanning device (we provide training)
• Ability to work in various temperatures within our warehouse
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future
