Job summary

UNFI in Prescott, WI, is seeking a capable Order Selector to accurately pull customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse. You will palletize and place items in correct locations, operate Electric Pallet Jacks, and ensure safe movement of product.

The role rewards teamwork, safety, and reliability in a dynamic shift schedule. The position offers Sunday work with a starting wage of $23.75/hour plus performance and incentive pay, with higher rates on 2nd shift, weekends, and freezer environments

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Warehouse experience selecting is preferred but not required.
• Lifts 20–60 lbs consistently.
• Occasionally pushes, reaching, pulling, and gripping.
• Able to work in various temperatures.
• Available to work Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Identify the pick locations and safely pick the items.
• Inspects assigned equipment for safety issues.
• Picks the correct item and quantity, checking UPCs or item descriptions.
• Places labels on the side of the cases.
• Shrink wraps and labels with correct truck, stop and other required information.
• Stages pallets in appropriate bay and builds a stable pallet.
• Communicates safety concerns to supervisor promptly.
• Operates pallet jack/pushcart safely and efficiently.
• Maintains cleanliness and follows company policies.

What does it mean to be a part of the Order Selection team?

In this fast-paced role, you are the boots on the ground and responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling customer orders within the warehouse. This role requires strategic thinking and attention to detail while palletizing orders and ensuring they are placed in the correct assigned locations. You will operate motorized equipment including Electric Pallet Jacks while ensuring that you safely and accurately move product within the warehouse. Schedule

• Sunday: 12pm - Finish
• Monday - Friday: 2pm - Finish

Pay

• Starting wage is $23.75/hour
• Performance Pay: Opportunity to earn up to an extra $11 per hour depending on performance metrics and hourly case volume.
• Incentive Pay: Maintain a 100% picking rate for two consecutive weeks and your pay increases to $25.50 per hour.
• $1.25/hr for 2nd Shift
• $2.00/hr for Weekends
• $2.00/hr for Freezer environment (if applicable)

Job Responsibilities And Accountabilities

• Inspects assigned equipment for safety issues
• Picks the correct item and quantity, checking UPC’s or item descriptions
• Places labels on the side of the cases
• Shrink wraps and labels with correct truck, stop and other required information.
• Stages pallets in appropriate bay and builds a stable pallet
• Immediately informs a supervisor or manager of any potential safety threats, any violation of company policy, keeps area clean and debris out of work area
• Operates pallet jack/pushcart in a safe and efficient manner
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
