Fortune Fish & Gourmet in Houston is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the 2nd shift. You will load and unload vehicles, move inventory, and prepare shipments in a cold environment around 35ºF. A forklift, reach truck, and pallet jack are used to construct loads and ensure accuracy.

Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma, pass background and drug screening, and demonstrate reliability and teamwork. Physical work includes lifting up to 49 pounds and standing for up to 8 hours.

Summary of Position:

The warehouse associate is responsible for the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, encompassing both outgoing and incoming shipments. Primary tasks include selecting products from the warehouse, loading and securing goods onto pallets, transporting inventory to the designated delivery area, and efficiently loading merchandise. Additionally, the associate will be required to unload stock from delivery vehicles and appropriately store it in specified warehouse locations. It is imperative to maintain a clean and orderly work environment while adhering to all applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures. To achieve success in this role, the ability to follow instructions and operate in an organized manner is essential. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic, focus, and exceptional problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the work environment is of utmost importance.

• Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills.

• A willingness to work in a cold climate, with temperatures around 35ºF, is necessary.
• Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 49 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, and to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Candidates should be able to frequently push, pull, bend, squat, and reach.
• Individuals must be physically strong, agile, and dexterous, with the ability to work at heights and in adverse climatic conditions.
