Job summary

Fortune Fish & Gourmet is seeking a Seasonal Warehouse Associate for the 2nd shift in Union, NJ. You will load and unload deliveries, select products, and move stock to designated warehouse positions. Maintain a clean, safe workplace and follow all safety rules and procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 49 pounds. Experience with a refrigerated warehouse is preferred, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Forklift proficiency is required to perform loading/unloading and pallet movements.
• Ability to operate a forklift, reach truck and electric pallet jack is needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of the work environment.
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
• Accepting delivery of inventory.
• Counting and confirming inventory.
• Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
• Communicating errors with relevant parties.
• Marking and labeling stock.

• Able to frequently push, pull, bend, squat, and reach.
• Physically strong, agile, and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.

• Proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus.

Summary of Position:

Seasonal Opportunity: Our busy season runs from October 25 through December 31, 2026. During this time, employees should expect a fast-paced work environment and required overtime based on operational needs.

The warehouse associate will load and unload delivery vehicles, both outgoing and incoming. You will select products from the warehouse, load and secure goods to pallets, move inventory to the delivery area, and load merchandise. You will unload stock from delivery vehicles, transport it to, and store it in designated warehouse positions. Please keep your work environment clean and tidy, and comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. To ensure success, you need the ability to follow instructions and operate in an orderly manner. Preferred applicants are hard-working, focused and have outstanding problem-solving skills.
