Job summary

Porter Pipe & Supply in DeForest, WI is seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate for the 2nd shift. You’ll unload trucks, receive merchandise, and verify shipping details against bills of lading and purchase orders. Strong attention to accuracy is essential.

You’ll operate forklifts and pallet jacks, pick/pack orders, and load deliveries. Start time is 2:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with $21/hour base plus a $2 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• At least one year of warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in English for warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and accurately receive merchandise, matching bills of lading to purchase orders.
• Prepare bills of lading and verify shipping details for accuracy.
• Interpret and fulfill customer orders, work orders, and shipping requests.
• Move, sort, and distribute materials within the warehouse according to established sequences.
• Pick, pack, and load customer orders onto delivery vehicles.
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and shrink wrap machines.
• Inspect shipments for damages or defects and report discrepancies.
• Adhere to all safety rules and company values.

What You’ll Do:

• Work 2nd shift hours, starting at 2:00 PM and staying until all tasks are completed.
• Unload trucks and accurately receive merchandise, matching bills of lading to purchase orders.
• Prepare bills of lading and verify shipping details to ensure accuracy.
• Interpret and fulfill customer orders, work orders, and shipping requests.
• Move, sort, and distribute materials within the warehouse according to established sequences.
• Pick, pack, and load customer orders onto delivery vehicles.
• Drives a Stake Body Truck exclusively within the facility grounds and company property.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and shrink wrap machines.
• Inspect shipments for damages or defects, record discrepancies, and notify the supervisor as needed.
• Adhere to all company safety rules and guidelines while demonstrating our core values.

What You’ll Bring:

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of prior warehouse experience, preferred but not required.
• Previous forklift experience is preferred but not required.
• A commitment to teamwork, quality work, and a safe working environment.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Requires visual, hearing, and speech acuity.
• Ability to stand and walk long distances for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in extreme temperatures, with exposure to noise and fumes.
