Job summary

The Kendall Group is hiring a Warehouse Associate to support materials management in the distribution center. You will help ensure accurate stock levels, pack and ship orders, and assist with loading and unloading of goods.

Ideal candidates are entry-level with a strong work ethic, safety-minded, and able to work well in a team. Training on equipment like forklifts is available; the role includes general warehouse tasks and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safe work habits and established safety procedures.
  • Participate in safety initiatives as assigned.

  • Assist with truck loading and unloading per procedure.
  • Back-up delivery driver responsibilities if qualified.
  • Maintain quality and quantity performance standards.
  • Learn to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, hand trucks).
  • Participate in general housekeeping of the warehouse.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform other warehouse tasks as assigned.

Warehouse Associates are essential to the overall operation of the business. While specific daily tasks can vary depending on the company, a warehouse associate’s main responsibility is ensuring that all stock is accounted for, processed, and organized to meet company standards.Exciting work you will do:The essential duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate position may consist of, but are not limited to, the following:Follow safe work habits and established safety proceduresParticipate in safety initiatives as assignedPerform defined warehouse activities specific to the selection of material for shipment and shipment of stockPick and pack orders accurately and promptlyAccurately identify and count inventory in assigned areasTruck loading and unloading according to established proceduresBack-up delivery drivers as needed and if qualifiedMaintain quality and quantity performance and production standardsMust learn how to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, etc.Participate in ongoing general housekeeping of warehouseCheck assigned equipment for proper operation/functionality and communicate problems to Distribution Center ManagerAttend meetings and training sessionsOther warehouse tasks as assignedCompetencies you possess:Service ExcellenceResults, Action OrientedAccountability and ResponsibilityTeamwork and CollaborationSafety ConsciousWhat you’ll need:Work Experience: Entry LevelLicenses/Certifications: If required to drive, the below licenses will need to be obtained upon hire:Driver’s License with appropriate state licensing and clean driving recordMust be able to pass a DOT Medical Exam and obtain a 1- Year Card (Paid for by The Kendall Group)Analytics/Computer Skills: Ability to use standard office equipment, including but not limited to computerized bar code scanner, printer, and standard warehouse equipment/tools/machines/vehicles; basic math and reasoning skillsOrganization Skills: Excellent work ethic, good verbal, and communication skills; ability to work independentlyCross-functional skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and through the direction of a Warehouse ManagerCommunication Skills: Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; know when to request assistance when appropriate, especially when lifting heavy objectsPhysical, Mental and Visual Skills: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
