Cardinal Health is seeking a Warehouse Associate for 2nd shift in Birmingham, AL. The role focuses on inbound/outbound logistics, picking and packing, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment with standard SOPs.

You will operate RF scanners and material handling equipment, join cross-training, and support a fast-paced distribution environment while maintaining safety and accuracy. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Previous material handling equipment experience (PIT) required.
• Radio frequency (RF) scanner experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to process orders, including picking, quality checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
• Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in/out products.
• Drive material handling equipment as required (forklift, order picker, reach truck, pallet jack, etc.).
• Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a safe work environment.
• Adhere to safety rules and communicate concerns to management.

Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers. ***Job Summary*** The Warehouse Associate assists with Inbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor meeting quality, safety, productivity and operational standards.
