Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Warehouse Associate for day shifts in Washington, DC. The role focuses on inbound and outbound operations, using pallet jacks and the Manhattan WMS to receive, store and ship products.

Requires 1–2 years experience, a High School diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in refrigerator environments. Benefits include medical, PTO and 401k; salary is $22.70/hour with a 4x10 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Unloads trucks in the Inbound section using a pallet jack or equivalent devices to move pallets out of the trucks
• Uses Manhattan Warehouse Management System to check in products; stores products in warehouse locations
• Picks products from warehouse locations and loads into outbound trucks
• Follows regulations to store refrigerated products when handling specialty items
• Supports inbound or outbound activities as requested by Warehouse Supervisor

Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers. ***Job Summary*** The Assoc II, Warehouse Ops assists on Inbound or Outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor meeting quality, safety, productivity and operational standards.
