Job summary

Olympic Steel, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support production processes at our Bedford Heights, OH facility. The role includes moving WIP material, assisting with secondary operations, and handling finished goods packaging and truck loading.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, be mechanically inclined, and possess basic crane and computer skills. Shift closely runs 3:00pm–11:30pm, Monday through Friday, with excellent benefits available.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, with safety and quality focus.
• General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
• Working knowledge of general computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Support production processes on the floor.
• Move work-in-progress material on the production floor.
• Assist with in-house secondary operations and finished goods staging.
• Pack, inspect, and band finished goods; load trucks.
• Receive raw materials and prepare materials for production and shipping.

Job Description:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for all job tasks required to support production processes. These activities may include machine support, movement of work-in-progress material on the production floor, in-house secondary operations, finished goods staging, packing, inspecting and banding, truck loading, raw material receiving and raw material and finished goods preparation and management.

Shift: 3:00pm- 11:30pm Monday-Friday

Qualifications:

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious.
• General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
• Working knowledge of general computer programs.
