Job summary

Olympic Steel in Ohio is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support production, move WIP material, stage finished goods, pack, load trucks, and assist with raw material receiving and prep.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined and safety-focused.
• Ability to operate or assist with crane operations.
• Working knowledge of general computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Support production processes on the warehouse floor.
• Move work-in-progress material and assist on the production line.
• Stage finished goods, pack, inspect and band products, and load trucks.
• Receive raw materials and prepare materials for use.

Job Description

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for all job tasks required to support production processes. These activities may include machine support, movement of work-in-progress material on the production floor, in-house secondary operations, finished goods staging, packing, inspecting and banding, truck loading, raw material receiving and raw material and finished goods preparation and management.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious.
• General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
• Working knowledge of general computer programs.
