Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of Caterpillar's most innovative divisions. PSLD touches nearly every element of the service value stream, from procurement to design, manufacturing, and distribution. It is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement, and the design and manufacture of Wear and Maintenance Components.

As a Warehouse Associate, you will verify part numbers, locations, and quantities using source documents. You will count parts, fill orders, and conduct basic quality assessments of parts for damage and defects.

Available Shifts: Multiple shifts starting at $18.80/hour with additional premiums for off shifts. Actual shift availability varies weekly; successful candidates will start as soon as a position on their requested shift becomes available. Please note there may be a waiting period before start date.

Additional Information:

• Located in Lafayette, IN (most positions at 1521 Kepner Drive and 1627 Veterans Memorial Pkwy E)
• Potential monthly attendance bonus of $200
• Relocation assistance is not offered
• Candidates must be able to read, write, and conduct business in English
• Ability to work overtime when required

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and hoists
• Handle materials—unloading, sorting, putting away, picking, packing, and shipping
• Follow detailed process flows and instructions for warehouse movement
• Track and record activities during shifts
• Attach tags or labels to materials and mark information on handling units
• Maintain reliability, punctuality, and good attendance to meet customer needs

Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in environments with changing temperatures; capable of working at heights of 26 feet or higher for extended periods.

Qualifications:

• Safety: Conduct daily maintenance, keep safety logs, inspect environments, use PPE, and report safety concerns
• Warehouse Management: Perform receiving, storing, picking, packing, shipping, maintain records, and use scanners for inventory accuracy
• Collaboration: Work as a team, maintain a positive attitude, and seek continuous improvement
• Attention to Detail: Ensure inventory accuracy, learn from mistakes, and perform quality checks
• Effective Communication: Use verbal and non-verbal skills professionally, stay focused, and share ideas clearly
