Job Summary

A Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking and sorting products based on specific customer orders. The role may also involve shipping, receiving, or delivering supplies, materials, and equipment. A Warehouse Associate must always maintain inventory control and records during all product movement processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Picking orders from warehouse inventory using item location identifiers.
2. Unloading, moving, and storing materials. Loading trucks for delivery.
3. Utilizing manual lifts, reach trucks, and transfer equipment (requires applicable safety and operational training).
4. Storing and stacking materials according to company standards.
5. Identifying and verifying parts.
6. Reporting inventory shortages and recommending new orders.
7. Removing damaged materials from stock and documenting inventory adjustments accordingly.
8. Operating RF scanners and other hand-held devices.
9. Other responsibilities may be assigned.
10. Schedule: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (Monday - Friday).

Minimum Work Experience Requirements

• 6 months of related experience working in a warehouse and/or distribution environment preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Knowledge of branch product lines.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving practices.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Skill in organizing and prioritizing personnel and work activities.
• Knowledge of merchandise handling and production methods.
• Some knowledge of basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• Must be a team player and abide by QED’s strong core values and beliefs.
