Job summary

GA Foods is seeking a Warehouse Associate 2 for its St. Petersburg, FL headquarters. The role entails pulling orders, forklift operation, and maintaining accurate inventory in freezer, dry, and refrigerated environments.

The position requires RFID scanning experience and a full-time schedule beginning early in the day. Candidates must have at least two years of sit-down forklift experience, be capable of working in a freezer, and perform duties across warehousing, inbound/outbound product

Warehouse - Freezer - STP Full Time Operatives St. Petersburg, FL, US

Salary: $19.25 Annually

GA Foods is hiring a Warehouse worker/Forklift Operator for our headquarters location in St. Petersburg, FL. This rolewill be responsible for performing warehouse duties and assist in warehouse operations in a safe, efficient and accurate manner.

Warehouse worker - Essential Duties:

Including but not limited to:

• Pull customer orders (frozen, refrigerated, dry)
• Operate forklift in a safe manner
• Conduct physical product inventories;
• Assist with departmental housekeeping
• Receive and inbound product/unload inbound product
• Ship outbound product/Load outbound product
• Complete and maintain paperwork and records as required
• Other duties assigned by management

Warehouse worker - Job Specifications and Qualifications:

• 2 years of sit down forklift experience - required
• It is required to work a full time scheduled shift (5:00am - 1:30pm or until shift change)
• It is required to work in a freezer,
• Able to work in the dry and Refrigerated Warehouses,
• Able to work in the Dock;
• Computer Experience including utilization of RFID scanning technology

Warehouse worker Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the shift.
• Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as machine operation, etc.) most of the workday.
• Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves, but is not limited to: food debris, odors, constant equipment noise, temperature extremes, wet areas/water, or similar elements most of the workday.
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, carry, pull, push, grasp, stoop, squat, bend and stretch as needed throughout the shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks - primarily manual tasks - in a standing position for the entire shift.
• Under 1/3: Sit, Climb or balance, Stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl, Taste or smell.
• Over 2/3: See, Stand, Walk, Use hands to finger/handle/feel, Reach with hands and arms, Talk or hear.

Weight Lifting/Exertion:

• Under 1/3: Up to 80 lbs.
• Over to 2/3: Up to 50 lbs.
