Job summary

SIMOS is hiring for a General Warehouse/Material Handler in Avon, IN. The role is a full-time, long-term position in a fast-paced, high-energy warehouse environment. You will unload trailers, move and inspect goods, and help maintain a safe work area.

Shift is 1st, 8am-4:30pm, with mandatory overtime as needed. Pay rate is $17.00 per hour with a benefits package including medical/dental, 401k, paid training, and weekly paychecks.

Duties:

What You'll Do:

• Unload incoming trailers and containers in a safe and efficient manner.

• Manually lift, move, sort, and stage product throughout the receiving process.

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

• Follow all safety procedures while operating around dock equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors.

• Process and move product quickly in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet daily production goals.

• Cross-train in multiple inbound and receiving functions to expand your skill set.

• Be available for overtime as business needs require.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous warehouse, receiving, unloading, or distribution experience preferred.

• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis.

• Comfortable performing continuous manual labor and standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching throughout the shift.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to read and follow safety policies, work instructions, and operational procedures.

• Commitment to safety, productivity, and attendance.

• High energy and willingness to perform physically demanding work.

• Zero tolerance for cell phones, smart watches, earbuds, or other electronic devices on the warehouse floor.

• No hoodies permitted on the warehouse floor.

• Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic are required.

Physical Requirements:

• This is a highly active, hands-on unloading role requiring frequent manual material handling.

• Associates must be able to lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.

• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and work at a consistent pace in a fast-moving environment.
