Role

Purpose of the Role: The Warehouse Associate moves incoming product from points of entry to their respective production area(s) for sorting, baling, or disposal. Our culture emphasizes trust, respect, professionalism, teamwork, and cooperation to serve the public and our partners effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• At the donation door: greet customers, determine acceptable donations, reject unusable items tactfully, unload goods, provide receipts, sort and distribute items, remove trash, and complete necessary paperwork.
• Transport unsellable products to the compactor, complete resale paperwork, and load bales onto trucks as directed.
• Prioritize safety when using heavy equipment to prevent injuries.
• Maintain knowledge of CommunityAid’s sales and marketing efforts and store needs.
• Keep work areas organized and tidy.
• Report theft, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Follow CommunityAid policies, standards, and directives.
• Be flexible and responsive to store needs, assisting with opening, closing, and other tasks as assigned.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• Consistent attendance and adherence to weekly hours as per employment status.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Pushing and pulling up to 75 pounds.
• Stand for extended periods.
