We are seeking a detail-oriented, energetic Warehouse Associate, who will be responsible for safely and accurately conducting warehouse activities such as shipping, receiving, order picking and packing, and maintenance duties under the direction of the Warehouse supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Receiving- Accept UPS/FedEx packages daily.
- Unload pallet shipments from common carriers.
- Receive, inspect and check in orders shipped.
Picking Orders- Pick assigned orders accurately, using carts, stairs, pallet jacks, hand carts, electric order picker, electric reach truck, and electric pallet jack.
- Pack orders efficiently, using packing materials and boxes best suited for items being shipped.
- Palletize LTL orders, weigh, wrap and measure pallets.
Shipping- Double-check accuracy of pick.
- Create UPS, USPS, and FedEx shipping labels.
- Build LTL shipments, create BOLs, and rate shop LTL rates.
Daily Maintenance Tasks- Empty warehouse trash cans, breakdown boxes for recycling, sweep floors.
- Remove all empty pallets from the racks, cut flaps, remove loose wrap as needed.
- Clean break room and restock supplies in bathrooms.
- Keep walkways and aisles clear of obstructions, keep sidewalks shoveled and salted.
- Complete other general office maintenance tasks as directed by Warehouse Supervisor.
Skills/Requirements:- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but simple written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and Windows software. Operating familiarity with standard office machines such as PC, calculators, printers, and copier.
- Must become forklift certified.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
