Summary
Under direct supervision, the Warehouse Associate performs all shipping and receiving activities for a Branch location. This role ensures the customer receives the correct items in a timely manner and all stocked merchandise is properly maintained.

Job Duties

1. Determine which items need to be picked, checked, and shipped from sales orders.
2. Pull orders accordingly and recheck for accuracy.
3. Prepare items for delivery to customers.
4. Secure packages to prevent damage during shipping.
5. Prepare customer returns for shipment back to distribution or supplier.
6. Sort and organize materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to established organization codes.
7. Report any damaged or substandard inventory to the supervisor immediately.
8. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
9. May deliver items to customers and obtain signatures upon receipt.
10. May process counter sales or invoices.
11. Operate a forklift or similar equipment, if certified.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
13. Record received items in the computer system to update availability.

Education & Experience

Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Demands

Must be able to move up to 100 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs.

Licenses & Certifications

• May need forklift certification.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record required.
