The Tile Shop in West Hartford, CT is seeking a reliable Warehouse Associate to support daily store operations. You will read orders, assemble pieces, stock shelves, and prepare shipments with accuracy while using a forklift when required.

This role emphasizes safety, organization, and timely processing of inbound and outbound freight; candidates should be comfortable manual lifting up to 100 lbs and maintaining clean, well-organized inventory.

Competenze

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
• Physically capable of lifting 50–100 lbs.
• Willing to work Saturdays and maintain safety standards.
• Strong organizational and mathematical skills; basic computer skills.

Mansioni

• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to assemble orders and place on pallet or shelves.
• Sort and place materials according to size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Complete inventory paperwork (shipping confirmations, receiving confirmations, PO, open orders, check-off, UPS).
• Ensure store inventory accuracy at all times and label orders/back stock clearly.
• Participate in cycle counting program and record inventory movements.
• Load and unload customer vehicles; obtain required signed paperwork.
• Process incoming freight and operate equipment (including forklifts) safely.
• Inspect equipment and maintain good working order.
• Record product quantities received/distributed and maintain cleanliness.

Job Description

• Read customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to assemble customer orders from stock and place order on pallet or shelves.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Complete all paperwork pertaining to inventory, which includes shipping confirmations, receiving confirmations, purchase orders, open orders, order check-off, and UPS.
• Ensure complete accuracy of store inventory at all times.
• Label all orders and back stock clearly.
• Participate in the cycle counting program.
• Load and unload customer vehicles; ensure proper paperwork is completed and signed off by the customer after loading of product.
• Process incoming freight trucks in a timely manner.
• Proper use of equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, to move inventory.
• Inspect equipment to maintain good working order.
• Record amounts of product received and distributed.
• Accountable for overall cleanliness/organization of the warehouse.
• Enter records into computer.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Ability to read and write in English

• Forklift certification or willing to be certified

• Knowledge of proper safety measures
• Ability to manually move and lift 50lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work Saturdays on a 5 day work week schedule.
