Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company is looking for a Material Handler to efficiently pick orders using an RF scanning gun while ensuring safety standards. Responsibilities include pulling and staging orders, loading trucks, and assisting customers in loading materials.

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for picking orders using an RF scanning gun in a timely and efficient manner to meet customer expectations while ensuring safety at all times.

Responsibilities

• Pull orders accurately as assigned for daily deliveries using an RF scanner
• Stage orders according to truck location and verify the accuracy of pallets, etc.
• Load trucks for daily and special deliveries
• May use power equipment including, but not limited to forklift, hand tools, etc.
• Recognize damaged product at any point in the process and take appropriate action
• May operate a forklift or other warehouse machinery
• Assist customers and/or drivers in loading materials into vehicles and trucks
• Perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast‑paced distribution or warehouse environment preferred, but not required
• High attention to detail and strong math skills to ensure accuracy
• Ability to follow direction and safe operating procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively throughout the shift without assistance (weight varies based on product)
• Work at heights of 20 ft. on a regular basis
• Ability to be trained to use forklifts and other warehouse machinery
• Ability to work on his/her feet including walking for extended periods of time
• Willing to work overtime as needed
