Warehouse Associate (Mid-Shift) – Waynesboro, VA

PURPOSE

Blue Ridge Beverage Company, Inc., located in Central and Southwest VA, is a large beverage distribution company seeking a full-time WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE (Mid-shift) for our Waynesboro division.

The individual in this position will be responsible for safely picking, moving, and loading beverage products onto delivery trucks. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager (Day).

Job Type:

Full-time, Nonexempt

Hours:

10:30am-7:00pm, M-F

DUTIES

• Accurately receive and check in products from inbound shipments, using computerized route accounting system.
• Move product from receiving to assigned bin locations using powered equipment.
• Keep assigned area clean, organized, neat, and stocked, ensuring proper rotation of product.
• Assist with building pallets of products for transfers.
• Participate in inventory counts during weekly, monthly, or annual cycles.
• Adhere to safe working practices and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Previous experience with computerized warehousing preferred.
• Forklift or electric pallet jack experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Standing, walking, sitting, stooping, fine finger and hand manipulation, speaking clearly, hearing, reading, driving, and lifting/moving/carrying 25-40 lbs. repetitively, occasionally up to 170 lbs. when handling kegs. Must be able to bend, lift, carry, climb, and stack using a hand truck or electric pallet jack.
