Position Overview:

Optimas is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role reports to the Warehouse Manager/Team Leader.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental policies at all times.
  • Understand, develop, and promote the company’s business objectives, participating with enthusiasm to achieve and exceed them.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with line management and relevant personnel.
  • Agree on and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track performance against company objectives.
  • Understand work requirements and complete supervised training as per company standards.
  • Confirm accuracy of picked items against notes.
  • Pick and pack items securely to prevent damage during transit.
  • Arrange for certification issuance as noted on picking notes.
  • Pack similar-sized parts from different manufacturers to retain their identity and segregation.
  • Load goods for dispatch within deadlines.
  • Check for damaged labels and request replacements as needed.
  • Cover for envoys when required, subject to licenses held.
  • Unloading of delivered goods and verifying received items against purchase orders.
  • Book products into the system, batch boxes, and pass samples and paperwork for inspection.
  • Store goods appropriately or transfer to boxing or subcontracting operations.
  • Confirm receipt of accompanying documentation such as material or test certificates.
  • Repackage bulk products into smaller quantities as per requirements.
  • Operate boxing machine hoppers as necessary.
  • Move boxed goods to designated storage locations.
  • Resolve discrepancies during picking and inform line management of potential stock outages.
Key Skills and Competences:
  • Previous warehouse experience, ideally in a distribution center.
  • Forklift license or Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) training preferred.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Results-oriented with attention to speed and accuracy.
  • Team player with a flexible, friendly approach and positive attitude.
  • Good communication skills and customer service focus.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Manual handling ability to lift up to 20kg regularly.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt across all warehousing duties.
  • Flexibility to work on a three-shift pattern (AM/PM).
