The Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting multiple departments within our Distribution Center. This position ensures the accurate, timely, and safe handling of inventory across various channels including Returns, B-Stock, Liquidation, Customer-Owned Inventory (COI), Life Cycle Management (LCM), and Buy & Hold (B&H). The role also provides essential administrative support to the Shipping department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support across various operational functions.
- Process daily inventory and route to appropriate areas: restock, vendor returns, B-Stock, installs, and customer refusals.
- Coordinate with TSM, Sales, and Shipping to adjust freight options based on customer and operational needs.
- Inspect and test hardware for cosmetic and functional issues; send items under warranty to repair.
- Match part and model numbers for desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals using AS400 and SPS platforms.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to resolve issues with missing parts or locked units.
- Process Customer-Owned Inventory (COI) same-day and report discrepancies.
- Complete Buy & Hold orders within 48 hours to meet customer deadlines.
- Work with Inventory Control to resolve stock discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Provide order status updates to Sales as needed.
- Release and sort batches hourly to meet shipping deadlines.
- Operate pallet jacks or Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safely.
- Follow all Preferred Methods and Safety Guidelines.
- Rotate through Returns and Mailroom departments, including housekeeping duties.
- Support cross-departmental functions as needed for training and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous general warehouse experience preferred.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong time management and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (team-lift required for items over 50 lbs.).
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, walk, and carry for 8+ hours.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AS400 and SPS systems.
- MHE certification.
