Job summary

Christie’s Appliance & Mattress Co in Tucson is seeking a Warehouse Associate to locate, pack, and ship supplies and materials. You will transport, stock, inspect, and prepare packages for shipping while maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent), 1–2 years of related experience, a valid driver's license, and familiarity with shipping practices. Forklift certification is preferred, and the company offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One to two years related experience or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. No CDL required.
• Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
• Forklift certified preferred.
• Acute attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to hand dolly, forklift, electric dolly, pallet jack, and/or elevator.
• Performs quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
• Picks, packs, and ships materials and products.
• Processes all packages for shipping; processes returned merchandise.
• Conducts physical inventory counts; replenishes stock from back-up locations as needed.
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
• Participates in quality improvement efforts.
• Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence.

Job Summary

Locates, packs, and ships supplies and materials to internal and external customers in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks materials.

Essential/Physical Job Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Forklift - trained and certified by the OSHA and company standards (if company provides training, you must attend this mandatory training).
• Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit regularly, in addition to being able to utilize hand dexterity, climbing, bending, balancing, stooping, and kneeling, regularly as the job requires.
• Must be able to work under extreme weather conditions (heat and cold) frequently based on what is expected to complete the job.
• Must be able to hear, see, communicate and utilize the necessary equipment required to complete the job in a timely manner.
• Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse.
