Base pay range

$15.00/hr - $17.00/hr

The Carpet Guys, LLC is a family-owned, rapidly-growing, local flooring company with a strong foothold in the metropolitan Detroit area. We have an immediate opening for a long-term, full-time experienced, reliable warehouse worker at our corporate warehouse in Troy, Michigan. This position may include afternoon and weekend hours.

• Dependable individuals who can perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility in scheduling (warehouse is staffed from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.). Must be available to work anytime within that period, including Saturdays and Sundays.
• Customer service/problem-solving mentality.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Possess a valid driver's license. All candidates must be legally able to drive. A chauffeur's license with D.o.T. endorsement is required for deliveries; we will assist qualified candidates with this process.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Willingness to drive and deliver materials to customers' homes as needed.
• Pass a background check and a monitored pre-employment drug screen.
• Physical ability to repetitively lift fifty (50) pounds and move items of various weights and sizes; ability to operate heavy equipment with proper training.

Preferred qualifications

• Previous warehousing/inventory experience.
• Hi-Lo experience/certification.
• Delivery experience.

This is an entry-level position with a starting wage of $15.00-$17.00/hour, with potential overtime. Benefits are available after 90 days, including health, dental, optical, and life insurance. We provide on-the-job training specific to the flooring industry for suitable candidates.
