Job summary

JMI Resource (formerly 5-Star Staffing Solutions) seeks a Warehouse Associate in Palmetto, FL for a full-time temp-to-perm position. You will receive and inspect inbound materials, label and store goods, and prepare shipments.

Operate forklifts/handheld scanners with training provided; maintain a clean, safe, efficient workspace and support inventory control to meet daily targets.

Qualifications

• Background check and in-person drug test required
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods
• Reliable transportation mandatory
• Forklift experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect inbound materials; verify against purchase orders
• Label, organize, and store materials; move materials within warehouse
• Pick, kit, stage, wrap, weigh, and load outbound shipments
• Assist with inventory control (cycle counts, transfers)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, stackers, scissor lifts – training provided)
• Use handheld scanners/tablets for tracking
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Job Details

Position: Warehouse Associate

Location: Palmetto, FL 34221

Employment Type: Full-Time (Temporary to Permanent)

Pay: $17.00/hour

Schedule: 2:30pm-11pm. | Training: 7 am-3:30pm (4 weeks)

Pay Increase Upon Permanent Hire: $18.00–$19.00/hour

Requirements

• Background & Screening: Clean background required; in-person drug test required
• Lifestyle: Non-smoker (smoking not permitted on site)
• Age & Education: 18+ years old; High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push carts up to 60 lbs, stand/walk/bend frequently, climb stairs, and work at heights up to 40 ft
• Transportation: Reliable transportation required
• Schedule
• Days: Monday – Friday (primary schedule)
• Additional: Overtime as needed; occasional weekends

Turret Truck Experience Preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Temp-to-perm position with potential pay increase
• Permanent hire pay range: $18–$20/hour
