Job summary

JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for material deliveries, storage and distribution, while also assisting in the running of the warehouse, as well as tool and safety equipment inventories.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Overview of Typical Duties

• 1. Manage material deliveries, distribution and storage.
• 2. Inventory and distribute tools, supplies, safety equipment and Company apparel as needed or requested.
• 3. Participate in the coordination of material deliveries to a project jobsite and its employees.
• 4. Load and unload freight using equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
• 5. Effectively communicate with other Company personnel.
• 6. Perform all duties in accordance with all environmental health and safety regulations related to this position.
• 7. Monitor and ensure acceptable employee conduct.
• 8. Comply with work rules, safety rules and policies of the Company.
• 9. Perform all other duties as assigned.
• 10. Maintain regular and acceptable attendance and punctuality.

C. Education, Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations

High School graduate or GED. Valid Driver’s License Certifications/Continuing Education

D. Experience

At least 2 years of verifiable warehouse experience driving various pieces of equipment.

E. Language

Skills Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals in English. For the purpose of receiving instructions and complying with safety standards, must have the ability to communicate effectively.

F. Reasoning

Ability Must be able to think analytically and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must also possess sufficient speech, writing and communication skills necessary to effectively communicate with project teams.

G. Work Environment

• 1. Must be able to work in all elements such as: heat, cold, rain and snow.
• 2. Occasionally exposed to mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes and airborne particles.
• 3. At risk of electrical shock and vibration.
• 4. Wear personal protective equipment when required.
• 5. Become certified and drive forklift as needed.

H. Physical Demands

• 1. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• 2. Climb and balance.
• 3. Stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and sit.
• 4. Able to lift up to 75 lbs
• 5. Possess normal vision with or without corrections and be able to distinguish color.
• 6. Possess sufficient speech, writing and communication skills necessary to effectively supervise employees and carry out other job functions and responsibilities.

JOB PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

• 1. Manage tool inventory with less than 5% loss due to theft or inaccurate record keeping.
• 2. Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
• 3. Maintain OSHA 10 certification.
