Job summary

QXO, a leading distributor and installer of building products, is hiring a warehouse associate in Stamford to load, unload, and move materials using forklifts and other heavy equipment.

You will work outdoors in all weather, verify orders, inspect and track inventory, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while following PPE and safety protocols. The role requires reliable transportation and ability to start early shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment; warehouse experience preferred.
• Commitment to providing an outstanding experience to customers, vendors, and co-workers through effective verbal and written communication and a customer-first mindset
• Spanish bilingual proficiency is a plus
• Reliable transportation to work and the ability to regularly work early morning hours

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials.
• Work outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions.
• Verify order contents and maintain documentation (pick tickets, inventory count sheets).
• Inspect, organize, maintain, and track inventory.
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere diligently to all safety protocols, while always wearing appropriate PPE.
• Preserve safe and clean work environment which includes cleaning and painting.
