Job summary

Placon Corp. seeks a dependable Warehouse Associate at its West Springfield, MA facility to support fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing operations.

Your role includes order picking, receiving, inventory management, loading/unloading, and production support with team-oriented safety and efficiency in mind. Starting hourly rate is $18.75 with a $0.75 shift differential for 3rd shift, bringing the rate to $19.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of Reach Truck experience required.
• Forklift certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate material-handling equipment, including Reach Trucks, forklifts, balers, scanners, stretch wrappers, and other warehouse equipment.
• Accurately pick, receive, store, and ship products to support customer and production requirements.
• Load and unload trucks while maintaining safe material flow.
• Perform inventory transactions and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications and Oracle software for inventory tracking and warehouse transactions.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and support department KPI tracking.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas that meet GMP and AIB requirements.
• Follow all safety policies and actively participate in company and departmental safety initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure accurate information flow.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and departmental efficiency goals.

Compensation

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of Reach Truck experience required
• Ability to successfully complete forklift certification upon hire
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
• Experience using warehouse technology, including scanners, Microsoft Office applications, and inventory management systems preferred
• Effective communication skills and ability to understand and follow operational and safety procedures
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including:
• Frequent lifting of 10-50 pounds and occasional lifting of more than 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, twisting, and standing for extended periods
• Ability to handle raw materials, finished goods, pallets, and shipping materials throughout the workday
• Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred
