Job summary

J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers is seeking a Warehouse Associate to load, unload, and move materials within the plant, yard, or work site.

The role requires experience with material handling equipment and adherence to safety and quality standards, including ISO 9001 QMS. The position supports manufacturing operations in a on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Vocational/technical training or a high school diploma or GED with industrial manufacturing or paint shop experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from Foreman or Materials Manager to determine materials or containers to be moved.
• Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Secure lifting attachments to materials and move loads to destinations.
• Count, weigh, and record units moved or handled on the daily production sheet.
• Operate forklift and crane to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Identify raw materials and their storage locations.
• Document material moves within the warehouse.
• Review bills of materials and work orders.
• Pull material into bins for specific work orders.
• Wear required PPE at all times and comply with ISO 9001 QMS.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

• Receives instructions from the Foreman or Materials Manager to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys the load to the destination
• Counts, weighs, and records the number of units of materials moved or handled on the daily production sheet.
• Operates industrial truck and crane to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Operates forklift
• Identifies raw materials and their storage locations
• Document material moves within the warehouse
• Reviews the bill of materials and work orders.
• Pulls material and kits into bins for specific work orders.
• Safely perform duties; wear required PPE at all times.
• Observes and complies with all the provisions of the ISO 9001 QMS.

Education And Experience

• Vocational/technical training needed, or a High school diploma or general education degree with work experience in an industrial manufacturing or paint shop setting.
