Job summary

CBX Solutions is seeking a Warehouse Associate to help ensure the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. You will complete all tasks assigned by the Warehouse/Operations Manager and assist with daily logistics.

Responsibilities include preparing and packing orders, pulling inventory, labeling, maintaining safety, operating equipment, and supporting customers and contractors while upholding quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to read and write instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup per schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
  • Pull inventory for shipments.
  • Ensure correct material is loaded on truck for delivery.
  • Record merchandise per SOP.
  • Attach accurate labels to all orders.
  • Keep a clean, safe workspace and optimize space.
  • Communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment.
  • Follow quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Work in compliance with forklift safety rules.
  • Load finished product onto truck.
  • Navigate equipment to collect customer orders.
  • Drive safely and perform vehicle checks.
  • Interact professionally with customers and contractors.
  • Use technology to manage logistics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Warehouse Associates helps ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. Complete all tasks assigned by the Warehouse/Operations Manager.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Pull inventory for shipments
  • Help with ensuring correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery
  • Recording selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Working in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations
  • Load finished product onto truck
  • Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders
  • Follow all applicable safety regulations and processes as associated with driving, vehicle check, material handling and customer site specifics
  • Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
  • Counter sales to General Contractors
  • Use technology to help manage the logistics process.
  • Other relative duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware is a plus.
  • Experience driving trucks for delivery preferred.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms.
  • Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates.
Physical Demands

Spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching. Spends approximately 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing. Frequent lifting required of items 25-50 pounds, and occasional lifting over 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Work Environment

Conditions will include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Subject to frequent heavy lifting. May require driving to project sites. May be exposed to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
