Job summary

Maximum Staffing is hiring a Warehouse Associate for our Sanford, NC distribution center. You will manage inventory, prepare shipments, and help ensure smooth warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment.

This role offers paid training and opportunities for advancement; prior warehouse experience is valued but not required. Safety and accuracy are essential as you support both shipping and receiving activities daily.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate a forklift; certification preferred, training provided for right candidate.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs or more on a regular basis.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout a full shift in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and move products throughout the warehouse
• Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to track inventory levels, process orders, and update stock records accurately
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using order picker tools and RF scanners to ensure precise order fulfillment
• Stock shelves efficiently by organizing products according to warehouse distribution standards and maintaining a clean workspace
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against purchase orders and packing lists
• Contribute to inventory management through regular stock counts, cycle counts, and updating MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems
• Support e-commerce order processing by accurately packaging products for delivery while adhering to safety and quality standards

Experience

• Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required; we value motivated individuals eager to learn new skills
• Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes, shipping & receiving procedures, and order fulfillment is advantageous
• Experience with fasteners or industrial distribution is a plus
• Basic math skills are essential for counting inventory, measuring packages, and processing transactions accurately
• Comfort working with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar platforms is beneficial
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards
