Job summary

Easterseals-Goodwill Northern Rocky Mountain is seeking a store/warehouse associate to assist with donation intake, material handling, and outlet operations in Salt Lake City. You will help unload and sort donations, operate a forklift (where certified), and maintain cleanliness across store, production, and warehouse spaces.

The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work evenings or weekends to meet store needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with people who have different abilities.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks independently.
• Must obtain forklift certification after training.
• Able to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility.
• Physically and mentally able to perform all job requirements.
• Able to stand, stoop, bend, or carry for extended periods.
• Able to move 20–100 pounds by lifting, team lifting, or with mechanical assistance.
• Able to go up and down steps.
• Tolerance to extreme changes in temperature and humidity.
• Willing to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with service at the donation door and material handling.
• Assist in salvage and outlet operations including baling, loading, unloading, and transporting product.
• Operate forklift.
• Maintain cleanliness of store, production, and warehouse areas.
• Sort donations into proper containers by category.
• Transport donations to appropriate workstations.
• Clean large furniture and donated items for the sales floor.
• Safely operate baler, trash compactor, and other material handling devices.

Job description

Duties

Assists with service at the donation door and material handling. Assists with salvage and outlet operations including baling, loading, unloading, and transporting product on and off the outlet floor. Will operate forklift. Assists with maintaining the cleanliness of store area, production area, and warehouse facility. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Meets and greets every donor immediately. Assists in unloading vehicle of donations. Treats donations with respect.
• Sorts all donations into proper containers by categories, as established by management.
• Transports donations to appropriate workstations.
• Cleans large furniture and large donated items that will be placed on sales floor.
• Drives forklift (if applicable) in a safe and prudent manner at all times.
• Operates baler, trash compactor, and other material handling devices safely.

Requirements
