Job summary

LKQ Corporation in Romulus, MI is seeking a motivated warehouse associate to support shipping, receiving, and stock control. You will process incoming stock, pick and fill orders, and operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in a fast-paced warehouse.

We value reliability and safety, expect up to 1 year of related experience, and prefer a High School Diploma/GED. This role runs Monday through Friday from 4am to 2pm, with compensation at $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Mon‑Fri 4am‑2pm$18.00 per hr

Responsibilities can include duties aligned with shipping and/or receiving, processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. May also be responsible for operating manual/powered equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.

Essential Job Duties

• Receive and put away inbound product to designated location.
• Pick/pull correct product from the appropriate locations and deliver to staging area/delivery truck.
• Operate a manual/powered equipment to transport product in and about warehouse.
• Sort and place parts and supplies on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
• Maintain orderliness and housekeeping of assigned work areas.
• Comply with established company policies and procedures.
• Assumes other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Not responsible for supervising employees.

Minimum Requirements

• Up to 1 year of work‑related experience.

Preferred Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Warehouse or similar work environment, prior PIT (forklift, order picker, etc.) experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic verbal communication and ability to write brief messages and keep simple records.
• Problem solving for simple, repetitive situations; follow clear directions and procedures.
• Follow standard procedures with no decision making involved.
• Use guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager.
• Follow assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Occasional standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or sitting for extended periods.
• Exposure to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment; work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles; may need to assume awkward positions.
• May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Possible exposure to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
• Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
