Job Description
  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in highway construction projects; perform manual work in preparing equipment or vehicles for use
  • Make deliveries as needed
  • Stage appropriate equipment with product and backup supply
  • Conduct preventative maintenance as recommended on all equipment
  • Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
  • Material handling and storage
  • Support the daily maintenance of all vehicles (filled with fuel, fluids inspected and topped, appropriate tire pressure)
  • Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials
  • Material Delivery to Jobsites
  • Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Supervisor/Foreman, Safety Director or Branch Manager
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred
  • Being able to continuously lift up to 50lbs required
  • Valid Drivers License required
  • Being able to stand/walk on your feet for a prolonged period of time required
  • Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy/highway construction work
  • Forklift Certified preferred, but not required
  • Experience with pickup truck towing trailers preferred
  • Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions
  • Ability to follow multiple instructions
  • Organized and self-motivated
  • Making road signs from time to time, computer experience will be helpful

The hiring range for this position is $20-23 per hour. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
