Job summary

AMF Bakery Systems, a global leader in bakery equipment, seeks a Warehouse Associate in Richmond, VA. You will pull and process orders, receive goods into stock, and prepare shipments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds, operate a forklift safely, and use MS Office for basic documentation. Prior warehouse experience is preferred. Compensation is $19.00–$21.00 per hour, with typical on‑site shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift operation experience and the ability to operate safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience receiving incoming goods and distributing to machines or shelves is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle manual tasks in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Meet all safety procedures and policies.
• Receive incoming goods from vendors and internal customers.
• Distribute received goods to machines or shelves.
• Accurately pull, count, and issue products for delivery to production areas.
• Load and unload trucks as necessary.
• Pack and/or crate parts for shipment.
• Arrange shipments with freight carriers.
• Process orders and shipping documents.
• Perform annual inventory checks and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Summary

Pulling work orders, and parts orders, receiving goods into stock, placing received items on the shelves, packing, and shipping orders, processing all orders for shipment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Include, but not limited to:

• Meet all safety procedures and policies are followed.
• Put product away in assigned locations with proper tags attached.
• Receive incoming goods from vendors and internal customers.
• Distribute received goods to machines or shelves.
• Accurately pull, count, and issue products from racks for delivery to various production areas.
• Load and unload trucks as necessary.
• Pack and/or crate parts for shipment
• Arrange shipments with freight carriers.
• Process orders through the UPS System as necessary
• Process shipping documents for machines and parts
• Crating
• Inventory checking/counting annually and as required.
• Assist in the implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Include, but not limited to:

• Ability to operate a Forklift Truck in a safe manner.
• Load and unload trucks as necessary.
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• General warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks.
• Computer literate
• Knowledge using MS Office products.

Working Conditions

• Typical manufacturing facility conditions.
• Indoors (95%) and outdoors (5%) working conditions.
• Employees must be able to stand on concrete floors for a minimum of eight hours. Kneeling, squatting, bending over and standing for long periods of time may be required to perform assigned tasks.
• Safety steel-toed shoes and safety glasses are required.
• Long pants and a sleeved shirt (short sleeve at a minimum) are required.

Salary: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
