Job summary

Foundation Building Materials (FBM) is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. You will assist customers, manage product knowledge, and ensure accurate receiving and loading of materials.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability, with training provided. Base pay ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, and full-time benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in building supply warehouse preferred.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and operate within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers entering the warehouse and maintain product knowledge.
• Receive, organize, and move materials; keep warehouse orderly.
• Participate in physical inventories and maintain safe work environment.
• Follow OSHA requirements and use PPE as required.
• Attend required company trainings and support overall warehouse operations.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Product Knowledge
  • Provide service to customers entering the warehouse
  • Maintain a high level of customer focus in producing quality products and services
  • Maintain a full understanding of all products by identification, weight, and size
• Warehouse Operations & Maintenance
  • Perform minor building maintenance when necessary
  • Receive, organize, and move incoming materials and load outgoing materials
  • Allocate and move material to its correct place and always ensure an orderly warehouse
  • Maintain packing specifications, and make suitable skids/pallets, etc
• Physical Inventory
  • Participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories
• Safety
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
  • Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment
  • Use proper lifting techniques
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing
• Trainings
  • Attend and participate in all required company training programs
• Physical Requirements
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation
  • Occasional operation of forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying approximately 100 lbs. utilizing proper lifting procedures
• Additional Physical Requirements
  • Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned

Qualifications

• Building supply warehouse experience strongly preferred
• High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent work experience and/or training
