Job summary

Foundation Building Materials (FBM) is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Charlotte, NC. The role involves receiving, organizing, and safely loading materials, with a strong focus on customer service and product knowledge.

You will work in a fast-paced team, following safety protocols and contributing to an organized warehouse. Responsibilities include assisting customers in the warehouse, maintaining accuracy of product identification, weight, and size, and performing light maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Previous warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to provide customer service and maintain product knowledge

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to warehouse customers and maintain product knowledge.
• Receive, organize, and load incoming/outgoing materials; ensure orderly warehouse.
• Maintain packing specs and create skids/pallets as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE; participate in required trainings

At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), Warehouse Associates keep operations running smoothly receiving, organizing, and safely loading materials with precision and pride. Join a fast-paced, hands-on team that values integrity, reliability, and career growth.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Product Knowledge
  • Provide service to customers entering the warehouse
  • Maintain a high level of customer focus in producing quality products and services
  • Maintain a full understanding of all products by identification, weight, and size
• Warehouse Operations & Maintenance
  • Perform minor building maintenance when necessary
  • Receive, organize, and move incoming materials and load outgoing materials
  • Allocate and move material to its correct place and always ensure an orderly warehouse
  • Maintain packing specifications, and make suitable skids/pallets, etc
• Physical Requirements
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation
  • Occasional operation of forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying approximately 100 lbs. utilizing proper lifting procedures
• Miscellaneous

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
  • Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment
  • Use proper lifting techniques
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing
• Trainings
  • Attend and participate in all required company training programs
• Additional Physical Requirements
  • Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned

Qualifications

• Building supply warehouse experience strongly preferred
• High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent work experience and/or training

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
