Job description

The primary purpose of the warehouse associate is to support and meet the daily requirements as an entry-level worker in warehouse operations. The warehouse associate will be responsible for day-to-day tasks that keep the warehouse running, such as but not limited to receiving, picking orders, packing and shipping orders, and organizing and retrieving stock.

What You Will Do:

  • Unload floor stacked containers and palletize cartons according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Visually verify the quantity, part number, and overall quality of the cartons/pallet.
  • Label individual cartons per customer requirements in the vendor guidelines. Stage pallets utilizing various pieces of MHE.
  • Deliver packages to internal customers.
  • Accurately pick orders , verifying the location, part number, lot code , and quantity on reach trucks or order pickers.
  • Communicate missing product or quality issues to the distribution center management.
  • Pack orders and verify product was picked correctly.
  • Consolidate the order by packing it into the least amount of shipping cartons.
  • Check the product for quality damage.
  • Verify product utilizing the appropriate carrier, shipping priority , and shipping program (PC).
  • Participate in daily cleanups.
  • Other responsibilities as identified and required by the distribution center management.
  • Load finished goods into trailers for customer delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  • High School Diploma or GED preffered
  • 0-3 Years of warehouse experience

Working Conditions

  • Environment: Warehouse
  • Extreme Exposures: Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, and damp or drafty conditions
  • Schedule: Variable schedule; including nights and weekends - Occasional overtime may be required
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Heavy Lifting up to 75 lbs: regularly lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs and occasionally move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs with a pallet jacket
    • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms
    • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; must be able to be on feet for the majority of the shift
    • Frequently grasps, turns, manipulates objects of varying size and weight that require fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
    • Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance
    • Vision requirements include the ability to perceive things closely, from a distance, peripherally, depth, andthe ability to adjust and focus, reading and visually verifying information
