Description

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Warehouse Associate supports SCGC’s warehouse operations. Responsibilities include receiving, inputting, sorting, loading and unloading products and performing various warehouse activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process internal customer orders, picking, kitting, and perform shipping activities
• Organize stocks and maintain inventory.
• Inspect products for defects and damage.
• Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments.
• Organize and clean warehouse space, internal and external.
• Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
• Check, verify and fill customer invoices.
• Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations.
• Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized daily.
• Overstock maintenance and organization.
• Performs other related projects and assignments as business dictates.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
• Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system
• Team player with organizational skills
• Ability to lift or move heavy products.

LICENSES REQUIRED: Regular Class “E” Driver’s license.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Proven warehouse experience
• High school diploma

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regular attendance is required during scheduled working, may include nights and weekends.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Occasional walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
